celum SUMMIT 2011

celum was founded in 1999; five years later came the development of the Digital Asset Management system celum IMAGINE; on May 16, 2011—twelve years after Henry Norris, the former technology solutions manager for Nine Rivers Technology, stated: "Digital asset management is an evolution. It’s a constant work in progress."—celum opened its brand new research and development center ARK 1.

The celum SUMMIT 2011 took place in celum's newly opened research and development center on May 17. The conference is an annual showcase focused on Digital Asset Management, bringing together content management experts, celum partners, and customers to discuss and share, firsthand, the latest industry developments.
 

International Guests & Presentations

This year's SUMMIT was certainly enhanced by international guests. In addition to the 88 attendees from the German-speaking world, participants from France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Australia, Sweden, South Africa, and Italy were welcomed.

Well-known customers like CIDCOM Advertising Agency, ÖBB, Cambridge Judge Business School, BSH Bosch, and Siemens Appliances provided insight into current projects. celum partners like hybris, UPPER Network, priint:suite, MBusiness, and ARITHNEA displayed different applications, enhancements, and collaborative solutions.

The highpoint of the SUMMIT 2011 conference was the world premiere of the new Enterprise Digital Asset Management software, celum SYNERGY. The celum research and development team had been working on celum SYNERGY and the underlying technology "Stingray" for over three years prior to its unveiling. celum SYNERGY brings unparalleled innovation to the realm of content and metadata management, connectivity, user interface, and scalability, solidifying its place as one of the leading technology providers worldwide.

CIC – Customer Involvement Council

The day after the conference the CIC – Customer Involvement Council was constituted. It sees itself as the voice of strategic users in digital asset management.
